Events at SFIMAR

The Institute has a practice of shortlisting few good projects adjusted by the faculty guides. These projects are judged by a corporate panel in an annual event, ‘Summer Xcellence’. MBA summer internships are a great way to learn specialization subjects with practical exposure and that too under the guidance of corporate professionals.

It is perceived as a pinnacle of Management fundamentals and provides an opportunity to implement the skills learnt in the classroom into the diverse working scenario. The presentations of Summer Xcellence were judged by a panel from the corporate sector in each specialisation respectively.

• The main purpose of Summer projects is that first year MBA students can get exposure to the real business world during summer internships.

• It aims at encouraging students to excel in their internship.

• The competition provides a platform for SFIMAR’s budding Management professionals to showcase their business knowledge and enhance their functional skills.

• Summer Xcellence provides a platform to SFIMAR’S budding Management professionals to showcase their business knowledge and enhance their functional skills.

• Students get an opportunity to gain proficiency in their business acumen and knowledge of the nuances of business.

• It provides the students with a hands-on learning experience for them to build their skill set in their field of specialisation.

The Institute towards its practice for ‘Sharing Experience, Enriching Knowledge’ organises Eminent Speaker Series since 2016 - 17. The Speaker Series invites senior Management professionals from different verticals. The experiences shared by the renowned speakers enrich the knowledge of the students and also focus on nurturing traits of business leaders. Thus, it facilitates the contribution of the Institute's vision. It also helps build curiosity amongst the young minds stimulating new thinking processes. Through this series, the students actively seek diverse perspectives and insights across a variety of topics providing opportunity for provoking thoughts and promoting intellectual discussions.
