Director’s Desk Stars inspire us. They teach us how to contribute patiently to the growth and glory of the world while harmoniously synchronizing the climb towards our personal dreams. And, this inspiration is what we impart to our Management students at SFIMAR. This is the reason why, unshackling the conventional systems of education, SFIMAR believes in a more modern modus operandi which quenches the insatiable thirst for quality education among today’s students and, coherently, meets the expectations that the cynical global business At SFIMAR, we don’t just Teach, but Transform. UNESCO has rightly defined education as a process of, ‘Knowing, Doing and Being’. SFIMAR underlines this transformation from Knowing to Being. Thus, apart from the existing curriculum, we inculcate in the students the pivotal capabilities of (1) Thinking critically (2) Communicating clearly and (3) Deciding wisely. To accelerate this process of transformation into Being our highly-qualified faculty and students work in close collaboration evoking an ideal ‘gurukul’ type of scenario. Each faculty member has been trained to be mentors and coaches taking the sacred ‘Guru Sishya’ relationship beyond the boundaries of the campus and the two years of management education. Armed with ageless attributes like capability for taking initiatives for any action scenario, innovative approach in problem solving and data based proposals for ‘deciding wisely’ is what makes SFIMAR students Corporate Asteroids who outshine their contemporaries in the international commercial space. Like stars, they not only make the world a better place by ensuring its economic and social growth, but also valiantly fulfil their own dreams beaming in their hearts.
